Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 5, 2026

Welcome to Lighthouse Analytical. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lighthouse Analytical website and the analytical testing services provided through it.

By accessing our website, submitting a testing request, ordering laboratory services, or using our certificate verification system, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Lighthouse Analytical

Lighthouse Analytical provides independent analytical laboratory services focused on peptide purity, identity, quantitation, and related analytical testing.

Our services are intended to provide analytical information about submitted samples. Lighthouse Analytical does not manufacture, sell, distribute, prescribe, or recommend peptides or other substances for human or veterinary use.

2. Research and Analytical Use Only

All testing performed by Lighthouse Analytical is intended for research, quality-control, and analytical purposes only.

Laboratory results and certificates of analysis:

  • Are not intended for diagnostic use.
  • Do not constitute medical advice.
  • Do not constitute treatment recommendations.
  • Do not constitute approval, authorization, or endorsement for human or veterinary use.
  • Should not be interpreted as confirmation that a substance is safe, effective, or suitable for administration to humans or animals.

You are solely responsible for determining how laboratory information may lawfully be used.

3. Testing Requests

When submitting a testing request, you are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the sample and the services requested.

We may request additional information when necessary to process a testing request.

Lighthouse Analytical reserves the right to decline or cancel a testing request where:

  • The requested service is unavailable.
  • The sample is insufficient, damaged, improperly packaged, or unsuitable for the requested analysis.
  • The requested testing cannot reasonably be performed using our available methods.
  • The request creates a legal, safety, regulatory, or operational concern.
  • Information provided by the customer is materially inaccurate or incomplete.

4. Sample Submission

Customers are responsible for properly packaging and shipping samples to Lighthouse Analytical.

Unless otherwise specified for a particular testing method, samples should be submitted according to the sample requirements provided by Lighthouse Analytical.

You are responsible for ensuring that submitted materials can legally be possessed, transported, and submitted for analytical testing.

Lighthouse Analytical is not responsible for delays, loss, damage, contamination, or deterioration occurring during shipment before a sample is received by our laboratory.

5. Sample Identification

Customers are responsible for accurately identifying submitted samples and providing correct lot, batch, sample, or other identifying information.

Lighthouse Analytical will use the information provided by the customer for laboratory processing and reporting.

We are not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information supplied by the customer.

6. Testing Methods

Lighthouse Analytical may use analytical methods appropriate to the testing service requested.

Testing may include methods such as:

  • Reverse-phase HPLC
  • UV-DAD detection
  • LC-MS
  • Quantitative analytical methods
  • Endotoxin testing
  • Sterility testing
  • Heavy metals or elemental analysis
  • Other laboratory methods offered by Lighthouse Analytical

Testing methods, instrumentation, acceptance criteria, sample requirements, and reporting formats may vary by service.

Where appropriate, Lighthouse Analytical may modify or discontinue a method when necessary to maintain laboratory quality, safety, or analytical validity.

7. Results and Certificates of Analysis

Laboratory results are reported based on the sample received and the analytical testing performed.

A Certificate of Analysis (“COA”) or other report issued by Lighthouse Analytical reflects the results obtained from the submitted sample under the applicable testing conditions.

Results should not be interpreted as a guarantee that an entire production batch, lot, or supply is identical to the tested sample unless the applicable testing and sampling procedure specifically supports such a conclusion.

Lighthouse Analytical does not alter analytical results to meet a customer’s preferred outcome.

8. COA Verification

Lighthouse Analytical may provide a public certificate verification service.

A certificate number, report number, or sample ID may be used to confirm whether a certificate was issued by Lighthouse Analytical and, where applicable, access the original certificate.

Because certificate verification is intended to provide transparency, certain certificate information may be publicly accessible.

Customers acknowledge and agree that certificates issued for public verification may be accessible to third parties.

9. Turnaround Times

Any stated turnaround time is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Turnaround times may be affected by:

  • Sample delivery time
  • Sample condition
  • Testing complexity
  • Additional testing requirements
  • Instrument availability
  • Quality-control review
  • Laboratory workload
  • Unexpected technical issues
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control

A stated turnaround time does not constitute a guarantee of a specific delivery date unless expressly agreed in writing.

10. Fees and Payment

Testing fees are based on the services selected and the pricing applicable at the time of purchase or submission.

Additional charges may apply where:

  • Additional testing is requested.
  • A sample requires repeat or supplemental analysis.
  • The submitted sample does not meet the requirements of the selected test.
  • Additional laboratory work is reasonably necessary to complete the requested service.

Payment must be completed according to the payment terms presented during the ordering or submission process.

11. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on whether laboratory work has already begun.

Once testing, sample preparation, analytical work, or other laboratory services have commenced, fees may be non-refundable.

If a sample cannot be tested because of a laboratory-related issue, Lighthouse Analytical may, at its discretion, provide a refund, credit, replacement testing, or another appropriate resolution.

Specific refund terms presented at the time of purchase may supplement these Terms.

12. Sample Retention and Disposal

Lighthouse Analytical may retain submitted samples for a reasonable period for quality-control, verification, repeat analysis, recordkeeping, or other legitimate laboratory purposes.

After the applicable retention period, samples may be discarded or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements.

If you require a specific sample retention or disposal arrangement, you should contact Lighthouse Analytical before submitting the sample.

13. Intellectual Property

The Lighthouse Analytical website, branding, logos, text, graphics, design, software, and other website content are owned by or licensed to Lighthouse Analytical and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, publicly display, or commercially exploit our website content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Laboratory reports and certificates provided to a customer may be used for legitimate business, research, quality-control, and recordkeeping purposes, subject to these Terms.

14. Prohibited Use

  • Use our services for unlawful purposes.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website.

15. Accuracy and Limitations of Results

Analytical testing provides information about the sample tested using the applicable analytical method.

No analytical method can establish every possible characteristic of a material.

Unless expressly stated in a particular report, Lighthouse Analytical does not represent that testing confirms every aspect of a sample’s composition, safety, stability, suitability, or regulatory status.

Customers should select testing methods based on the specific questions they need the laboratory to answer.

16. No Guarantee of Fitness

Laboratory services are provided for the analytical purposes described in the applicable service documentation.

Lighthouse Analytical does not guarantee that a particular test or result will satisfy a customer’s regulatory, commercial, manufacturing, research, or other specific requirement unless such requirement has been expressly agreed to in writing.

Customers are responsible for determining whether the selected testing is sufficient for their intended purpose.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lighthouse Analytical and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our website or laboratory services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lighthouse Analytical’s total liability arising from a particular testing service will not exceed the amount actually paid to Lighthouse Analytical for that specific service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

18. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lighthouse Analytical and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your misuse of our website or services.
  • Your unlawful possession, use, shipment, or distribution of submitted materials.
  • Information you knowingly provide that is false or misleading.

Your use of our website and services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

21. Website Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep our website available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security incidents, updates, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Updated Terms become effective when posted unless otherwise stated.

Your continued use of the website or services after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

23. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Lighthouse Analytical operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts having appropriate authority over the matter, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

24. Severability
